site.btaSix-Month Programme Sets Bulgaria's Priorities among Belgian EU Council Presidency Dossiers

The Council of Ministers on Wednesday approved a six-month programme identifying Bulgaria's priorities among the dossiers of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union (January 1 - June 30, 2024), the Government Information Service said.

The programme covers 55 legislative dossiers on which the Government will seek to defend the national interest to the maximum extent.

By another decision, the Council of Ministers adopted an Annual Programme for Bulgaria's Participation in EU Decision-Making in 2024.

The Programme identifies the items on the EU agenda that are of priority relevance for Bulgaria during the current year and formulates the national interest in each of them. The Programme ensures Bulgaria's coordinated and effective participation in the EU decision-making process and the consistent implementation of EU policies.
