Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov is on a working visit to Israel, his office reported on Monday.

The visit is at the invitation of the Ministry of Justice of Israel and will be carried out jointly with heads and senior representatives of prosecution offices from member states of the European Union, the United States, and others.

Working meetings are scheduled with the Attorney General of Israel, Gali Baharav-Miara, and the State Attorney, Amit Eisman, as well as other senior representatives of the Israeli prosecution and security services.  

Among the main topics of the talks will be the international community's joint efforts to counter terrorism, investigate and bring to justice perpetrators of terrorist acts, their financing and organisation. Participants in the discussions will pay tribute to the victims of the terrorist attacks carried out on October 7 last year.

During the two-day visit, Sarafov will also have a meeting with representatives of the Bulgarian community in Israel.
