Defence Minister Todor Tagarev is willing to keep his office if asked after the government rotation in March, he said here Saturday. "If given the opportunity to continue doing what I'm doing, I'll probably accept," Tagarev told journalists after a ceremony for blessing of the colours of the Bulgarian Armed Forces.
He was asked what he expects to happen in the rotation and whether ministers will be replaced.
"If not, I am going to attend to my academic pursuits," he added, pointing out that he was not connected to any political party but had been invited to the government in an expert capacity.
On the occasion of the feast day of Epiphany on January 6, when the Armed Forces have their colours blessed, the Minister was asked what kind of Armed Forces he wishes for, he said that his wish is beginning to come true: well-trained and highly motivated servicemen and women who are well equipped and who feel confident in the level of training they have and deserve the respect of the allies.
