site.btaAlmost BGN 51 Mln Approved in Extra Defence Spending

At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the Council of Ministers adopted decrees approving additional expenditures on the 2023 budget of the Ministry of Defence, the Government Information Centre reported.

An extra BGN 10,088,800 were approved for the acquisition of ammunition and fuel for combat training.

Separately, an additional BGN 25,208,000 were allocated for the acquisition, modernization, maintenance and repairs of armaments, missiles, torpedoes and materiel and for the repair and construction of infrastructure. 

Another extra BGN 15,700,000 were decreed for transport, VAT and customs duties as ancillary costs of the acquisition of a new type of warplane (1st stage).
