Due to the bad weather conditions, the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) warned against mountain hiking on Sunday. Mountain Rescue Service commented to BTA that the strong northerly wind contributes to the lowering of temperatures, which will drop to -10C in some places.

There is fog in the region of Vitosha, Stara Planina and the Rhodopes, and scattered cloud in the Rila region. In some places in Vitosha there are snow-drifts, which can reach 10 cm.

So far, there are no reports of tourists in distress.
