Ten illegal migrants were found during a check on a car near Vratsa late on Saturday afternoon, the Interior Ministry's Regional Directorate said. There were six Syrian and four Iraqi nationals in the VW Touareg owned by is a resident of the nearby town of Lom but driven by a Belgian citizen.

The migrants and the SUV were detained in Vratsa for 24 hours. The men will be transferred to temporary holding centres with the Migration Directorate in Sofia, the Interior Ministry said.
