site.btaDeputy PM Gabriel Opens Academic Year at University of Telecommunications and Post

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel said Saturday at the opening of the new academic year at the University of Telecommunications and Post (UTP), that it was a pleasure for her to do so, and she thanked the UTP Rector Miglena Temelkova for the warm welcome, the Foreign Ministry said.  

Gabriel also handed the diploma to the top student of the class of 2023, Zhivko Dafov.

She conveyed three messages to the students and graduates: to build on experience and learn from every situation, to think critically and creatively to realise their dreams, and to have an adventurous spirit.

The event was attended by e-government Minister Alexander Yolovsky, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Grigory Grigorov, MEPs Sergey Stanishev, Asim Ademov and Petar Vitanov, Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science in the 49th National Assembly Krasimir Valchev, Chairman of the Communications Regulation Committee Ivan Dimitrov, Bulgarian Post CEO Filip Aleksiev, representatives of organizations and businesses in the field of telecommunications.
