Convoys of troops and military vehicles of the Bulgarian contingent that will join the NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR) will be transported along the national road infrastructure from Blagoevgrad (Southwestern Bulgaria) to the Gyueshevo Checkpoint (on Bulgaria's border with North Macedonia) between September 4 and 11, the Bulgarian Defence Ministry said in a press release on Sunday.

During the same period, convoys of troops and military vehicles of the Turkish Armed Forces are expected to cross Bulgaria over its national road network from the Gyueshevo Checkpoint to the Kapitan Andreevo Checkpoint (on Bulgaria's border with Turkiye) on their way back from participation in KFOR.

In both cases, Military Police Service teams will be escorting the convoys.
