It does not matter what Prime Minister Denkov says, it is important what Kiril Petkov’s father, Assen Vassilev, Boyko Borissov and Delyan Peevski are doing, President Rumen Radev told journalists in Nedelino.

According to him, Boyko Borissov's admission that there was a meeting with Alexey Petrov is an admission that the state is being run behind the scenes. When the state is run behind the scenes, it is weak, and the mafia is strong, the head of State said.

It is increasingly clear to everyone that the state is being run behind the scenes, which is why the ruling coalition is not listening to the voice of the people regarding the change of the national holiday, President Radev said. He reiterated that the issue of Bulgaria’s national holiday, March 3, marks the limit of people’s patience.

Apparently, the ruling coalition is not listening to the people, the President added. Prices are rising, scandals are multiplying and they are preparing to hijack the Constitution, change the national holiday, politically subordinate the Interior Ministry and the services to entrench themselves in power, Radev said. According to him, this diverts Bulgaria from the path of democratic development.

Regarding the resignation of the Interior Ministry's Secretary General, Radev said this is yet another decent professional forced to quit by the ruling party, which wants to take over local power through the Interior Ministry.

The head of State attended the opening of the 22nd Nedelino Folk Festival with international participation.
