site.btaAGILE SPIRIT 2023 Mutinational Exercise with Bulgarian Participation Ends Successfully in Georgia

A light infantry platoon of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion of the Bulgarian Land Forces was part of the AGILE SPIRIT 2023 multinational exercise which ended on Friday, the Bulgarian Defence Ministry said in a press release.

The exercise involved over 3,500 service persons and civilians from 25 countries and military entities and took place in training areas in Georgia. It included a computer-aided command-post exercise with a multinational brigade headquarters and battalion tactical exercises.

The Bulgarian platoon conducted joint training in urban, mountain and forest warfare with the 121st US National Guards Brigade. The exercise culminated in a battalion firing practice.  

"The service persons of the 61st Stryama Mechanized Brigade showed high motivation and professionalism, which helped them perform excellently during AGILE SPIRIT 2023," the Ministry said.
