Bulgarian citizens residing in Japan and the Republic of Korea or planning to travel to the countries are advised to follow the recommendations of local authorities due to Typhoon Khanun and to regularly monitor the Japan Meteorological Agency website, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry advised on Wednesday due to the approaching Typhoon Khanun.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the typhoon is expected to reach the southern coast of South Korea on Thursday, then move at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour toward Japan's third-largest island of Kyushu. Areas in the north such as Osaka and Nagoya are also likely to be affected.
