Traffic is heavy at the Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo border checkpoints on the border with Turkiye, the General Directorate of Border Police reported on Monday.
At the Malko Tarnovo checkpoint, passage is temporarily limited to a single lane due to reconstruction work.
Traffic is normal at all border crossings with North Macedonia and Serbia.
The Border Police notes, due to increased travel interest on the Rudozem–Xanthi route to Greece, that construction work is ongoing on the Greek side.
Only passenger cars and minibuses of up to 3.5 tonnes are allowed to pass through the Makaza, Zlatograd, and Ivaylovgrad border checkpoints.
The Border Police said that traffic on the Danube Bridge near Ruse will be suspended on March 27. In connection with the ongoing major repairs of the facility, the passage of passenger cars will be restricted for 12 hours, between 9 am and 9 pm on March 27, and the passage of trucks will be restricted for 24 hours, from 9 am on March 27 to 9 am on March 28.
