Turkiye’s exports to its neighbouring countries—Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Greece—reached USD 34.2 billion in 2024. According to TRT Haber, the Turkish national radio and television corporation, this marks a 7.4% increase compared to 2023, when exports amounted to USD 31.9 billion.

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, Turkiye’s total exports for 2024 amounted to USD 261.9 billion, a record in the country’s history.

Iraq topped the list of Turkiye’s export destinations among its neighbouring countries last year, with exports amounting to USD 13 billion. Bulgaria ranked second, with exports totalling USD 5.2 billion, recording the highest annual growth rate of 21.9%. Greece ranked third with USD 4.8 billion in exports, marking a 15.5% increase.

Exports to Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Syria also saw an increase, while exports to Iran declined by 0.5% compared to 2023.

Armenia was not included in the export data for neighbouring countries, as Turkiye does not have direct trade relations with it, TRT Haber further said.
