Polling Day Begins in Kosovo's Parliamentary Elections

The people of Kosovo are voting on Sunday to elect their new Parliament. A total of 2,533 voting sections are functioning in the country. They opened at 7 AM local time and will be closed at 7 PM.

There are 2,075,868 people eligible to vote in the parliamentary elections, according to information from the Central Election Commission of Kosovo. These include 1,970,944 voters inside the country and 104,924 abroad.

Among those abroad, 84,600 cast their votes by mail between January 9 and February 8, and 20,324 voted in diplomatic missions at home and abroad on February 8.

Voting in diplomatic missions was organized for the first time in the country's history.
