site.btaBosilegrad Pogrom Victims Commemorated
Citizens of Bosilegrad and guests from Bulgaria commemorated the victims of the operation known as the "Bosilegrad pogrom". It took place on 15 and 16 May 1917, when a Serbian paramilitary unit invaded the territory of Gorna and Dolna Lyubata, Bosilegrad, Gorna and Dolna Lisina, Topli Dol, Gorna and Dolna Ruzhana. As a result of the attack, 34 people were killed and more than 300 houses were burnt down.
