The 7.7- and 7.6-magnitude earthquakes shook southeastern Turkiye on February 6. The tremors were felt across eleven Turkish regions and in neighbouring countries, including Syria, which was also very seriously impacted. The damages are estimated to exceed USD 100 billion, the Turkish authorities reported earlier.
