General Labour Inspectorate Develops 33 New
Online Interactive Risk Assessment Tools for
Health and Safety at Work
Sofia, August 10 (BTA) - The General Labour Inspectorate (GLI) has developed 33 tools for online interactive risk assessment for health and safety at work in a project financed under the Human Resources Development Operational Programme, GLI said in a press release Friday. In 2017 and earlier in 2018, working in partnership with and financing by EU-OSHA, GLI developed five other online risk assessment tools. With the 38 such tools at the moment, Bulgaria is the EU member state with the highest number of online risk assessment instruments for occupational health and safety. The tools aid mostly micro- and small-sized enterprises.
The tools can be accessed freely on the web site of GLI or of EU-OSHA.
The tools are based on the OiRA platform developed by EU-OSHA. The use of such tools in Bulgaria has increased rapidly, with 4,000 registered users and more than 7,400 conducted risk assessments. LY/ZH//
