2 Million Trips
to Bulgaria in July


Sofia, August 28 (BTA) - Foreigners made 2,152,800 trips to Bulgaria in July 2018, increasing by 6.5 per cent compared with July 2017, the National Statistical Institute reported on Tuesday. Over half of these visits (57.2 per cent) were holiday trips and excursions. Another 7.4 per cent were business trips, and the remaining 35.4 per cent were made for other purposes such as visiting friends and relatives, education, or going to cultural or sport events.

Also in July 2018, Bulgarians made 727,500 trips abroad, increasing by 9.3 per cent compared with July 2017. Holiday trips and excursions accounted for 39.9 per cent of these visits, and business trips made up 19.6 per cent. The remaining 40.5 per cent were for other purposes. LI/VE
