Sofia, August 30 (BTA) - The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works has received 51 project proposals worth over 38 million leva as part of the Energy Efficiency in Peripheral Areas - 2 procedure, which is financed by OP Regions in Growth 2014-2020, the Ministry reported.

A total of 28 municipalities are eligible to apply for the procedure. The total grant aid adds up to 38.17 million leva and the goal is to improve the energy efficiency of public infrastructure and the residential sector in the municipalities.

The submitted project proposals will be reviewed within three months of the formation of an evaluating commission, which will approve projects for financing.

Since the start of the 2014-2020 programming period, the body that manages OP Regions in Growth 2014-2020 at the Regional Development Ministry has announced a total of 16 procedures for the provision of grant aid worth over 3 billion leva. The submitted project proposals under the programme number 604. So far 512 contracts have been concluded worth a total of 2.309 billion leva. LI/MY
