Vidin, Northwestern Bulgaria, September 11 (BTA) - Five tonnes of paperboard, sufficient to make more than a million cigarette packs, were seized by customs inspectors at the Vidin-Calafat Checkpoint on Bulgaria's border with Romania, the National Customs Agency said on Tuesday. The smuggled consignment was found during a check of a Bulgarian-registered truck carrying medicines for a EU Member State.

The paperboard is branded with a registered trademark, whose holders have been notified. RQ/LG
