President Decrees Termination
of Credentials
of Interior Ministry Chief Secretary

Sofia, September 19 (BTA) - President Rumen Radev has decreed
the termination of the credentials of Marin Mladenov, Chief
Secretary of the Interior Ministry, Radev's press office said on
Wednesday.

The decree was signed after the requisite documents were
submitted under the coordination procedure set out in Article
32, Paragraph 2 of the Rules of Organization of the Council of
Ministers and its administration.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday President Radev wrote that he signed the decree after the government complied with the law.

The weaknessed, omissions and scandals at the Interior Ministry also informed this decision, said the head of State. "With the nomination of Mladen Marinov as Interior Minister, the Prime Minister and the ruling majority, are taking a responsibility for an appointment which is disapproved by the public," wrote Radev.

GERB floor leader Tsvetan Tsvetanov told journalists that the matter of the war of the
institutions was a closed chapter. Referrring to constitutional judges, Tsvetanov said that the coordination procedure for the termination of Marinov's powers was unncessary. "There is no law which requires a coordination procedure. There are only by-laws such as the rules of organization of the Council of Ministers."

Volen Siderov, co-floor leader of United Patriots, said that Radev's stubbornness was unnecessary and congratulated the President on his decision not to impede the work of the cabinet and leave the Interior Ministry without a minister. LI/PP
