Kapitan Andreevo, Southeastern Bulgaria, September 29 (BTA) - The Bulgarian customs have made a record heroine seizure at the Kapitan Andreevo border control checkpoint: 712.574 kg of heroin worth 46,317 million leva, Haskovo District Prosecutor Ivan Stoyanov and Georgi Georgiev, head of the Customs Agency's Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department, told a joint news conference here on Saturday.

The heroin was found in two trucks with Iranian registration on Thursday and Friday. The two Iranian drivers were detained for 72 hours, Stoyanov said.

The trucks were transporting construction materials from Iran to Austria. A total of 347.270 kg of heroin were hidden in the first truck and 365.304 kg, in the second.
