Memorandum of Understanding for
Cooperation in Education


Sofia, November 1 (BTA) - Education and Science Minister
Krassimir Valchev and Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Elmar
Mammadyarov Wednesday signed a five-year memorandum of
understanding for cooperation in the area of education. The two
countries will strive to deepen and broaden their traditionally
good relations, the Education and Science Ministry said.
 
The memorandum lists a series of joint initiatives that will be
promoted, such as student and lecturer mobility, elaboration of
joint programmes between higher education establishments, and
development of cooperation between the two countries' secondary
schools through partnership programmes.

The document also covers intercultural exchange, with each
country committing to promote the study of the other's
literature, history and culture at its educational institutions.
