A march of tolerance on the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the rescue of Bulgarian Jews and honouring the memory of the Jews who died in the Nazi death camps will take place here on Sunday, the Organization of Jews in Bulgaria Shalom and the Federation of Zionists in Bulgaria said. The event is dubbed "We remember."

The government press service reported that Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov will attend the event.

In 2023, BTA partnered with the Jewish - Bulgarian Cooperation Centre Alef to commemorate the events of the past by issuing a special edition of the LIK magazine dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Rescue of the Bulgarian Jews. According to the website of the World Holocaust Remembrance Center Yad Vashem, Bulgaria is the only country with no victims of the Holocaust, even though some 50,000 Jews lived in the country at the time.
