site.btaPolice Officers Detain Spanish Citizen for Stealing Taxi in Pernik

A Spanish citizen has been detained for the theft of a taxi in Pernik, the Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry said on Friday.

The police operation to search for the stolen car began on March 5. The stolen car was found at Sofia Airport, after the 46 years old Spanish citizen, who has a criminal record and has been convicted of crimes abroad, had tried to leave the country.

The citizen was detained during an operation by police officers of the Pernik Regional Directorate, the Sofia Airport Border Police Department and the Sofia First Police Precinct.
