site.btaSpeaking from RSV 421, Music Editor Marina Velikova Says Listeners Trust BNR

Speaking from BTA's National Press Club on the Bulgarian naval research vessel Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii (RSV 421), Marina Velikova, music editor at the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR), said: "We have all heard people say, ‘They said it on the radio,’ which means listeners trust the National Radio." Velikova is on the 33rd Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition and is working on research projects in Antarctica.
Velikova joined a presentation of the February issue of BTA's LIK magazine, titled "BNR: 90 Years Later" via video link alongside BTA's special correspondent Milena Ostrovska. Velikova recalled that the National Radio was established on January 25, 1935, by decree of King Boris III.
She talked about BNR's rich palette of music companies: the Symphony Orchestra, the Folk Music Orchestra, the Big Band, the Mixed Choir, the Children's Radio Choir and the Radiodetsa (Radio Children) vocal group.
"The national radio boasts an exceptional Golden Fund archive and one of the largest phonographic collections in Bulgaria. As music editor, I am grateful and happy every day to step into the National Radio building. It is an honour for me to work at BNR," Velikova said.
