European Commissioner for Startups, Research, and Innovation, Ekaterina Zaharieva, will participate in an information event on digitalization an economic investment, which will be held on March 5 in Stara Zagora, said the press centre of the local administration.

It brings together representatives of business, academia and the public sector, who will discuss the opportunities for digital and green transformation of regional economies. Among the highlights will be the presentation of the Bulgarian network of European Digital Innovation Hubs, successful examples and future development opportunities.

The event will be moderated by Dr Rumyana Grozeva, Executive Director of the Regional Economic Development Agency in Stara Zagora. Among the participants will be Innovation and Growth Minister Tomislav Donchev and Sofia Alves, Director of the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy, the press center said.

The event is jointly organized by the European Digital Innovation Hubs network in Bulgaria, in cooperation with the Innovation and Growth Ministry and the European Commission Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy.
