The Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv was targeted in a drone attack overnight and one person was injured, Vitaliy Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, has said on Telegram. 

A fire broke out as a result of the attack, causing damage to civilian infrastructure.

Russia attacked the city with at least five drones between 12:34 a.m. and 1:53 a.m. local time, according to reports on Telegram.

The Bulgarian community in the Mykolaiv region consists of 5,600 people, mainly in the Ternovka neighbourhood on the outskirts of Mykolaiv, according to Ukraine's last census in 2001. The settlement of Ternovka was founded by Bulgarian settlers in 1802.
