Sofia, June 4 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov attended the fifth anniversary ball of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIB) on Tuesday, which has been under his auspices since it began, the press service of the Cabinet said on Wednesday. Borissov expressed the government's support to all small, medium and large business.

The CEIB presented their annual business awards in the "Quality", "Growth" and "Innovation" categories A special award was given to CEIB President Kiril Domuschiev for his overall contribution to the Bulgarian economy.

The Prime Minister addressed the representatives of Bulgarian business,saying that revenue agencies are actively working and that the only chance to increase incomes is to maintain the current economic stability. He added that on their part, the government will keep taxes predictable "to the end".

Borissov argued that reckless promises by parties to make certain things free will lead to a severe upheaval. "Free for some, means higher taxes for others," said the Prime Minister.

Borissov also said that Bulgaria is doing a very good job protecting the EU's external borders and that it is in the final phase of entering the Eurozone waiting room. LY/DT
