July 10 (BTA) - Volen Siderov is no longer floor leader
of the United Patriots parliamentary group. On Wednesday, the
Patriots notified National Assembly Chair Tsveta Karayancheva
about leadership changes in their parliamentary group.

Karayancheva said that Valentin Kassabov and Iskren Vesselinov
are taking over as co-floor leaders of the group. The decision
was made on Tuesday.

This leaves Siderov's Ataka party out of the six-member
leadership of the parliamentary group of the United Patriots
power-sharing coalition. The two co-floor leaders, Kassabov and
Vesselinov, are from the other two parties in the coalition: the
National Front for the Salvation of Bulgaria and VMRO.

MPs Pavel Shopov and Dessislav Choukolov declined to comment on
the change of guard in their parliamentary group, saying that an
official announcement will be made later on. RY/VE
