July 22 (BTA) - Economy Minister Emil Karanikolov awarded a Class A investment certificate to fertilizer manufacturer Agropolychim under the Investment Promotion Act.

The investment, worth nearly 26 million leva, is made to expand an existing import terminal for ammonia. The project will be implemented in the industrial zone of Devnya, 25 km west of Varna, and will allow the company to supply the basic raw material for the production of mineral fertilizers. Works are scheduled to begin in July 2020.

Karanikolov said that under the Investment Promotion Act a total of 70 projects, worth over 1.5 billion leva, are planned to be certified and 7,015 new jobs will be created. IG/PP
