A festive procession of bikers dressed as Santa Claus passed through the streets of the northern city of Pleven on Christmas Day. It marked the end of this year's 13th edition of the Moto Christmas charity campaign.

Traditionally, the "Santas" on bikes stopped in front of the family-type accommodation centres to bring presents to the children there. 

This year too, the procession made a special stop in front of the building of the Fire Safety and Civil Protection Regional Directorate, as the campaign is also supported by the firefighters.

The finale was around the Christmas tree in the city's centre, where the motorcyclists were expected by the citizens of Pleven who came despite the bad weather and the rain. Gifts and treats were prepared for the children. Anyone who wished could make a donation to the campaign in a specially prepared box.

"Despite the bad weather we managed to organize our traditional procession, although with a smaller number of participants compared to last year," Bozhana Kostova from the campaign organizers told BTA. She gave special thanks to all the representatives of the motorcycle community in Pleven who participated in the preparation and realization of Moto Christmas.  

This year's edition of "Moto Christmas" started in November with various events dedicated to the campaign. 

The Moto Christmas campaign was held in other cities across the country, including in the northern city of Veliko Turnovo, where for the first time, its deputy mayor dressed as Santa Claus to lead a column of hundreds of motorcyclists from all over the country for charity. 

The Moto Christmas initiative, which has been taking place since 2012 on Christmas, December 25, recalled Veliko Turnovo Deputy Mayor Georgi Nedev, who joined 8 years ago and is gradually making it more charity-focused.
