site.btaCabinet Approves BGN 4 Mln in Humanitarian Assistance for Ukrainian Refugees

The caretaker government at its regular meeting adopted a decision to approve assistance to applicants under the Programme for Humanitarian Assistance to Displaced Persons from Ukraine with Temporary Protection in Bulgaria, adopted by a decision of the Council of Ministers from 2022, the press service of the Council of Ministers said.

The payments have been verified for the period from March 1 to June 30 for 203 approved applications of the persons concerned.

With the adoption of this act, the payments to the applicants approved for funding amount to BGN 4,063,917.75 including VAT.

More than 50,000 Ukrainian refugee families have been supported with more than 88,000 allowances on various legal grounds by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Ministry announced in October.
