The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Bulgaria, Tsovinar Hambardzumyan, presented her letters of credence to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elena Shekerletova, here on Tuesday, the Ministry reported.

The discussion that followed the ceremony looked at matters of bilateral interest, with both parties expressing a desire for further development. The meeting agreed that the traditionally good friendly relations between the two countries should see deeper cooperation in areas such as trade and economy, transport and connectivity, tourism, innovation, education, science and culture, energy and security.

The agenda also included priority projects in the fields of connectivity and green energy transmission.

Shekerletova praised Armenia's willingness to deepen its relations with the EU and confirmed Bulgaria's readiness to share its expertise in various sectors. She stated that Bulgaria will continue to finance bilateral and multilateral regional projects.

Hambardzumyan said that Bulgaria is a priority partner for Armenia not only bilaterally but also within the European Union.
