An exhibition entitled In the Footsteps of Mikhailo Parashchuk will be on display at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski until November 25. The event unveiled on Monday was attended by the Rector of Sofia University Georgi Valchev, the Director of the Archives State Agency (ASA) Mihail Gruev and the Ukrainian Ambassador to Bulgaria Olesya Ilashchuk.

The exhibition organized jointly by the Embassy of Ukraine in Sofia, by Sofia University and ASA offers an insight into the life and work of Parashchuk.

A post in Facebook published by the organizers reads: "He [Parashchuk] arrived in Bulgaria in 1921, after the loss of Ukrainian independence, and quickly established himself in the artistic life of the capital. The artist forged collaborations with leading Bulgarian architects in the design of landmark buildings in Sofia and throughout the country, including the BNB [Bulgarian National Bank], BAS [Bulgarian Academy of Sciences], the Sofia University Rectorate, the National Library, the Defence College, Sofia Court House and many other important architectural monuments."
