Citizens gathered at a protest in front of the Presidential Administration on Tuesday evening demanding new and fair elections, and the replacement of the caretaker interior minister and the caretaker prime minister. The event was organized by the Bulgaria United for One Goal (BOEC) civic movement and was under the slogan "No to the bought elections".
Traffic on Lege Street and Atanas Burov Square was suspended. Police presence in the area was increased.
The organizers stated that they do not recognize the results of the October 27 snap general elections. According to them, most of the votes of some parties were bought.
"We announced this protest at 8:20 pm on the evening of election day. Even then everyone saw that every word of BOEC from the past weeks was true", Georgi Georgiev from BOEC said.
