An exhibition titled "Fantastic Minds" featuring Bulgaria's successes in international science Olympiads in 2024 will be staged on the bridge next to Sofia's NDK Convention Centre on November 1-15, the organizers said.
The opening will be attended by science Olympiad participants, team leaders and Education and Science Minister Galin Tsokov. The exhibition is a special edition of the My Awakeners project, dedicated to the national Olympic teams in mathematics, physics, chemistry, informatics, biology, linguistics, astronomy and astrophysics, and artificial intelligence, the team said.
This year alone, Bulgarian participants won 40 medals (two gold, 14 silver and 24 bronze) at the most prestigious international Olympiads. Together with the European, Balkan and Junior Olympiads, the medals won by the national teams add up to 91 (11 gold, 40 silver and 40 bronze).
The organizers said the exhibition presents the 2024 Olympiad teams, their exceptional leaders and the top science achievements of Bulgarian school students in the past.
After November 15, the exhibition will be displayed at Sofia Airport, at the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia and in some of the participants' native cities and towns.
The exhibition is put together by the Natural Sciences Olympic Teams Association and Fantastico Group. The latter initiated the My Awakeners project four years ago. The initiative showcases inspiring individuals with remarkable achievements and financially supports educational and cultural causes on the occasion of National Awakeners Day, marked on November 1, the organizers said.
