site.btaFarmers to Get BGN 0.42 Discount on Excise Duty per Litre of Gas Oil Purchased in 2023

Agricultural producers will get a discount of BGN 0.42 on the excise duty per litre of gas oil purchased in 2023 for activities in the primary agricultural production. The discount was determined by order of caretaker Minister of Agriculture and Food Georgi Tahov, the Ministry said in a press release Tuesday.

The annual budget of the state aid scheme for a discount on the excise duty on gas oil used in primary agricultural production, is up to BGN 100 million. Nearly BGN 92 million will be paid shortly under the scheme to over 14,000 agricultural producers. The rest of the resources will be paid in early 2025.

The deadline for applying under the state aid scheme was September 26. The discount is given to agricultural producers in the plant production and animal husbandry sectors.
