The Bulgarian players won three gold, three silver, and five bronze medals at the International Badminton Tournament in Sofia on Sunday.
Stefani Stoeva won the women's singles title after defeating Bulgaria's Gergana Pavlova in the finals with 18-21, 21-15, 21-8 in 56 minutes. Stoeva snagged the trophy after six wins in a row, starting from the qualifications.
Stefani Stoeva together with Gabriela Stoeva won the gold in the women's doubles finals. They defeated Bulgaria's Tanya Ivanova and Gergana Pavlova with 21-5, 21-10 in 22 minutes.
Pavlova thus won two silver medals at the tournament and Tanya Ivanova, one.
The bronze medal in the womens' doubles event went to Bulgaria as well, represented by Mihaela Chepisheva and Tsvetina Popivanova.
Dimitar Yanakiev snagged the bronze in the men's singles finals.
Ivan Rousev and Iliyan Stoynov won the bronze in the men's doubles event.
