The US State Department has approved the possible sale of Javelin missiles (Javelin FGM-148F) to Bulgaria and their associated equipment worth a total of USD 114 million, Reuters reported, citing a Pentagon statement.
According to a decision of the National Assembly of August 8, 2024, the acquisition of basic combat equipment for the construction of battalion combat groups from the composition of a mechanized brigade is planned to be carried out through the execution of three contracts: a contract for the acquisition of Stryker machines, a contract for the acquisition of artillery and small arms and subsequently through a contract for the acquisition of Javelin guided anti-tank missiles.
