Kitzbuhel, Austria, November 24 (BTA) - The Bulgarian ski resort of Bansko was named Bulgaria's Best Ski Resort for a seventh year in a row in a 16-week online competition organized by the World Ski Awards Academy.

The small Bulgarian mountainous town and ski resort is ranked among the top 26 winter destinations in the world. A total of 214 destinations from five continents competed in this year's edition of the awards. Around 2.5 million people from more than 140 countries voted in the online competition.

In yet another success for Bansko, the Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko became Bulgaria's Best Ski Hotel for 2019. The same hotel has won the award in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017 and in 2018.

The Bulgarian ski resort ranks among the top six destinations on the planet that have won a full set of seven awards presented by World Ski Awards Academy's seven editions. /МЙ/
