Sofia, November 26 (BTA) - President Rumen Radev has decreed the appointment of the new Prosecutor General, Ivan Geshev. This transpired from a televized address that Radev made right after the newscast at noon. Geshev was elected by an overwhelming majority in the Supreme Judicial Council to become this country's top prosecutor but the procedure for his election triggered persistent street protests and the President once declined to issue a decree for his appointment, sending the procedure back to the SJC.
