Wednesday - the eighth day of the Apollonia Festival of Arts began with a book launch and ended with a concert.

Two books brought out by the Hermes publishing house: Praise for the Province by Alexander Sekulov and House of Bees by Tsanko Lalev were press-launched at the Sozopol Art Gallery.

The Plovdiv Drama Theatre staged A Behanding in Spokane by Martin McDonough, directed by Elitsa Yovcheva and with actors Dobrin Dosev, Todor Darlyanov, Maria Sotirova, Emmanuel Kabanga as members of the cast.

The Sozopol Archaeological Museum hosted a concert by a String Sextet comprising Lia Petrova (violin), Valya Dervenska (violin), Stefania Yankova (viola), Rumen Tsvetkov (viola), Alexander Somov (cello) and Ivan Lalev (cello).

The Bulgarian film The Last Seagull, directed by Tonislav Hristov, was screened at the summer cinema.

At the Apollonia amphitheatre, Beloslava's concert Welcome to 74th Street featured some of the singer's best loved and familiar songs, as well as her latest single "My Soul". For the first time, she also performed international classics.

The organizers said that the concert was dedicated to Beloslava's 25th anniversary on stage and her creative partnership with pianist Zhivko Petrov. They were also accompanied by Dimitar Semov (drums), Dimitar Karamfilov (double bass) and Mladen Dimitrov (programming and percussion).
