The National Council of Yes, Bulgaria! has tasked the Executive Council to hold another round of talks with the partners of the coalition Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB), said the party's press center on Friday.

In mid-August, the National Council of Yes Bulgaria gave a mandate to the party's leadership to hold talks with the coalition partners from Continue the Change and DSB to establish the existence of a common ambition for a high electoral result on the basis of a shared vision and strategy on the main success factors.

In the statement circulated on Friday, Yes Bulgaria! regrets that a possibility to hold preliminary elections was rejected, but also notes the common understanding reached among CC-DB on a formula for governing the country, which gives a horizon for getting out of the political crisis based of key anti-corruption reforms.

In the new round of talks, the Executive Board of Yes Bulgaria! should propose a concrete solution to replace party quotas with qualitative criteria and a process of candidate selection and a concrete mechanism for a common process for the coalition to identify and attract new candidates with outstanding qualities, visibility, civic and professional position.

The National Council of Yes, Bulgaria! gives an additional deadline until 3 September this year for the Executive Council to report on the progress achieved in the negotiations so that on the basis of this additional report a decision can be taken about the participation of Yes, Bulgaria! in the elections for the 51st National Assembly.

The Executive Council and the MPs of Yes Bulgaria! should also elaborate a package of national priorities, decisions and policies on which the campaign and the work of the party's MPs in the next parliament should be based.
