At the invitation of Stara Zagora Mayor Zhivko Todorov, a Chinese delegation visited the city on Monday and was welcomed by Deputy Mayor Radostin Tanev. The delegation was led by the Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria Dai Qingli, the press centre of the municipal administration said.
"Our main priority is to create opportunities for the economic development of the region and the potential of human resources. We are proactive. We are open to any potential foreign investor, holding direct meetings to learn about specific needs and the assistance we would provide," Radostin Tabev Deputy Mayor for Transport, Ecology, Investment and Green Transition, quoted as saying in the press release.
He stressed that Stara Zagora has the ability to provide skilled workforce for any foreign investor due to the transformation process in the employment of highly qualified professionals in the energy sector.
The Chinese Ambassador also visited Trakia University and discussed cooperation enhancement opportunities with Trakia University Rector Dobri Yarkov. Dai Quingli was accompanied by her secretary and two diplomat specializing in the fields if education and trade.
Investment opportunities in the Stara Zagora Region were also discussed in July by Deputy Mayor Radostin Tanev and Abdulrahman Ahmed Sultan Issa Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador in Bulgaria.
