December 24 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov met with representatives of the Pernik crisis headquarters formed in connection with the state of emergency in the municipality on account of its water shortage, the Council of Ministers press centre said Tuesday.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev, Economy Minister Emil Karanikolov, Pernik Mayor Stanislav Vladimirov and Regional Governor Emil Kostadinov.

During the conversation, Prime Minister Borissov was informed about measures taken in connection with the water crisis in the area. The Branch 2 network loss survey is being initiated and for this purpose excavations will be made every 150-200 m in the section to determine whether the registered loss of about 90 liters of water per second is an accident or if its an unregulated diversion.

On Friday, a sign will be placed near the Vladaya river that the constructed facility for diverting water to the Studena Dam is only temporary.

Prime Minister Borissov was also informed about the forthcoming installation of flowmeters on a collecting pipe in several areas. RI/DT
