President Rumen Radev visited the Bulgarian Embassy in Paris on Friday to see a painting exhibition by Bulgarian artist Vladimir Nikolov. The event organized by the Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC) marks the start of the Summer Olympics in the French capital.

Among the official guests of the event were BOC President Stefka Kostadinova, Sports Minister Georgi Glushkov and other sports leaders.

The exhibition was hosted by Radka Balabanova-Ruleva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to France.

Bulgarian police officers, who are in France to assist local law enforcers in providing security for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, also attended the exhibition. Bulgaria has posted 31 border police officers to work at the Paris Orly Airport and in Perpignan, near France's border with Spain, and five officers with dogs trained to detect explosives, who will work in the capital.
