Approached for comment on the political situation Thursday, Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) Acting Chairman Atanas Zafirov said: "Let us see who will receive the third cabinet-forming mandate and we will make all effort." In his words, people can expect from the BSP readiness for dialogue and an attempt to find the right solutions.

Earlier in the day, Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) said they are ready to return the second exploratory mandate as soon as the President hands it to them.

Zafirov commented further: "We are following the plan expected in advance: a third mandate, non-partisan, based on consensus, pro-Bulgarian, an expert one."
