The Municipality of Svishtov and the Ministry of Innovation and Growth are organizing a meeting in connection with the construction of the future Danube Industrial Technology Park - Svishtov on July 10.

The meeting is expected to be attended by Mayor of Svishtov Gencho Genchev, caretaker Minister of Innovation and Growth Rosen Karadimov, , Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) Deliana Ivanova, representatives of the industrial park and local companies.

In the first part the main topic will be the future Danube Industrial Technology Park in Svishtov, and the second part will look at opportunities that the European programmes provide for small family businesses, craft and creative activities.

The first stage of the construction of the Danube Industrial Technology Park - Svishtov was officially launched on May 30. In November 2023, the Municipality of Svishtov submitted a project proposal for the construction of the Industrial Zone, which covers an area of 300 acres on the territory of the former barracks in the town. The funding was secured under a procedure for the development of industrial areas, parks and similar territories and for attracting investment of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
