site.btaBulgaria Opens Summer Tourist Season with Ceremony in Front of Old Town of Nessebar's Gates

Nessebar will host an official opening ceremony for the summer tourist season in Bulgaria on Friday, the Tourism Ministry said in a press release. The ceremony will be held in front of the Old Town's gates at 6 pm. Expected to attend are caretaker ministers, including Tourism Minister Evtim Miloshev, representatives of institutions, and the tourist business.

The opening of the 2024 summer season will be help under the auspices of President Rumen Radev, Nessebar Municipality told BTA. That is happening for the first time. The head of States' press secretariat confirmed that Radev will attend the ceremony with his wife.

Both the state authorities and businesses expect the summer season to start earlier and mark a significant increase from summer 2023.
